The 1957–58 season was the 61st season of competitive football in Scotland. Hearts broke the British senior league goal scoring record with 132 goals, this record still stands.

Champions: HeartsRelegated: East Fife, Queen’s Park

Promoted: Stirling Albion, Dunfermline Athletic

Scotland qualified for the 1958 World Cup after finishing top of their group ahead of Spain and Switzerland. They did, however, go out at the first round stage of the World Cup after one draw and two defeats.
